Distribution Android: Froyo disappears, Nougat off

as every month, Google has released figures for the distribution of the versions of Android. For the first time, FroYo no longer appears in the ranking. Nougat in turn remains below 1%.

you remember of FroYo, version 2.2 of Android? If so, you’re an old timer, but you may also learn that this version is now used by less than 0.1% of Android users in the world. For the first time since its launch, the version that has brought the Flash support in Android – which was a good thing at the time-, just disappear from the monthly distribution of versions of Android table published by Google.

nougat almost doubles, but remains anecdotal

table of the firm of Mountain View also shows other notable progress, the Android 7.0 Nougat . The last sweetness of Google goes into effect of 0.4% in December 2016 0.7% in January 2017. Although the grind remaining below 1%, we note as its market share almost doubled from one month to another, sign that the Pixel continue to sell and that builders slowly begin to update their devices .

it also should be noted that only 0.2% of devices running version 7.1, compared to 0.5% for version 7.0.

Marshmallow and Lollipop remain majority

two versions to keep the head of the standings remain Lollipop and Marshmallow . Android 6.0 is installed on 29.6 percent of outstanding terminals while Android 5.0 and 5.1 account for 33.4% of Android devices in the world.

then comes Android 4.4 KitKat with 22.6% deployment, then Android 4.1/4.2/4.3 Jelly Bean with 11.6 percent.

Gingerbread and Ice Cream Sandwich always present

despite the disappearance of FroYo, the following versions, namely Gingerbread (Android 2.3) and Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0), continue to be represented respectively by 1 and 1.1% of the users. A slight drop compared to last month, but too slow to imagine a fast disappearance.
