Xiaomi begins closed beta of MIUI 8 Android 7.0 Nougat

Xiaomi began the beta closed MIUI 8, its home interface, suitable for Android 7.0 Nougat on a handful of smartphones. The newer terminals of the brand are currently not concerned.

Xiaomi MiUI 8

the stable version of MIUI 8 is already available since last summer , but Xiaomi intends to adapt the latest version of its home interface to Android 7.0 Nougat. With this in mind, the Chinese recently opened the closed beta of this project on a handful of terminals.

to after Gizmochina , concerned smartphones are Xiaomi Mi 4 c , 4S Mi , Mi Note and Mi Max. In the light of this information, the strategy of the manufacturer is interesting to analyze.

the former first models

Xiaomi seems to prefer using its old models to test the integration of MIUI Android 7.0 Nougat 8. Indeed, the Max mid and mid 4s were released in beginning of 2016. As for the 4 c Mi and MI Note, it is downright two smartphones in 2015.

known as the Mi 5 s and Mi MIX , of the flagships more recent them will also benefit Android 7.0 Nougat in the first quarter of 2017. So presumably the Middle Kingdom firm wish first well control this integration before you test on its flagship of 2016 models.

Xiaomi Mi Note, the funny of exception

it’s quite strange to see Xiaomi test MIUI 8 for Android 7.0 Nougat on my Note Mi. Although it is my flagship from 2015, the latter taking a Snapdragon 801. However, according to Gizmochina, this SoC could pose problems of compatibility with the latest Google OS.

Nevertheless, ZUK, another Chinese brand, announced there is little as my Z1 ZUK would benefit from a beta version of Nougat in January 2017 . This smartphone is also equipped with a Snapdragon 801. Gizmochina evokes the possibility that these terminals must settle for the Android Nougat 7.0 beta, without ever being able to take advantage of the stable version.

but it is here that speculation and we will have to wait a little before you have answers to these questions.
