WD PiDrive, a special hard drive Raspberry Pi

This solution combines a micro SD card and a USB drive coupled to NOOBS. It lets you quickly start the Raspberry Pi with a hard drive, without special knowledge.

check the system you want to install. Raspbian [RECOMMANDED] in graphical mode is first in the list (it is the one that I checked). You can choose to create an ext4 partition that can be shared between different OS second line of the display).


Project Space install Raspbian Lite in a score of limited size. Very convenient for testing.


Raspbian Lite installs this OS (Raspbian version text only) in a partition occupying all the space available on the disk.

Lakka is a retro console. I here pause about LAKKA: I’m not a gambler. I do not practice game consoles or the retrogaming. This being said, you will understand that I am a beginner in this area. I find myself with a retro console but… I know not to use it. I connected a XBox 360 joystick used on the PC by my grandchildren. It is well recognized, it lights up, it allows me to navigate the menus… but after? I do not know throw the emulators (apparently you must install the BIOS) or start games (apparently we need to get Roma)… I tried to see how it works to retrieve a kind Flight Simulator on the Atari game. I’m came across a site of m… that forces me to watch a video ad before each download 🙁 I finally gave up.


as I often suggest in the comments I have RTFM LAKKA http://www.lakka.tv/doc/Home/ doc but… If you don’t know how it works, there is not info to start (menus, or you need to install the Roma, the bios…)
