PC HARDWARE Duck: Raspberry out series, Pi + Arduino

canardpc_couverture_250px the creation of complex structures is no longer reserved engineers retired or students to the schools…» Anyone can now embark on the adventure with platforms like Arduino… This special issue offers an introduction to the basics of electronics, avoiding the boring speech to focus on the essential. “- extract from the introduction of this special issue e .
Duck PC team has regular (s) interesting publications, but with this special issue is the whole Raspberry Pi and Arduino that is being targeted.
You want to start using these 2 cards ‘magical’ but you think that your knowledge in electronics are insufficient or nonexistent?

this number is right for you. Electronics of origin ( everyone has flaws 🙂) I enjoyed this special issue number as soon as I brought it from my favorite press briefing.

canardpc_couverture_600px

I can only confirm what is announced: all for good start .  I tell you that a plain reading of these pages will make you an experienced electronics, but you already understand what are the components of vase used in electronics (and Raspberry Pi and Arduino cards). canardpc_rtfm it will also work a bit by yourself (bin so what do you think?) to see how to work the formulas and understand their use. I’ve seen too much of “future technicians’ watching a formula as a beginner large tide fisherman looks a comb… Without knowing which way it is handled 😉

I propose to begin with a summary of this issue, front of diving further in its content.

canardpc_sommaire ready? Come on Let’s go!

canardpc_simple

canardpc_danger

Let’s start with security rules. It’s always good to remind them. I always try to think on framboise314 when the current of the sector is used. It’s not just a joke. Like “ CA I still took a shot of juice! ‘ no, we can stay there! Want to turn you into toaster or kettle? That’s your problem… But if you want to make edits that you make, follow the advice given here 🙂

also warning about the lithium batteries that have a tendency to turn into Fireworks (ask Samsung 😉).

canardpc_loi_d_ohm

the initiation begins with the basics: what is a voltage, a current, a volt 1 ampere or a watt? And then the one by which all (or almost) has begun! A lawyer who was a resistance! You have acknowledged, it’s Georg Ohm, who was… German.

to have long “prevailed” in electronics, I can assure you that with this single act we do a large part of the necessary calculations. It is useful everywhere, that you are interested in the diodes, transistors, op-amp, converters… You will find in your legs ( components). So much tame it, understand it. You have the right to return in every way 🙂!

canardpc_resistance Ohm’s law leads to resistance. This article makes you discover this component in its different forms, its marking and its use (like bridge divisor for example).

for memory Manu had regaled us with my history of bridge splitter feel free to do a tour on this article 🙂

and then an application of the bridge, is the potentiometer. The following article speaks of variable resistors. The menu also the Thermistors and Varistors.

canardpc_condensateurs after resistance, component base, duck PC this is the capacitor ( attention, spoonerism! []) ). point of power supply without this capacitor. Plastic, ceramic, electrochemical, they’re all here.

in the aftermath it’s inductance, the self, the coil that is addressed. This component is widely used today in power supplies to cutting for example and all the up-converter, down-converter and other buck-converter that bloom on Asian sites. But they are also part of the power supply of the Raspberry Pi 🙂

canardpc_transistors after the passive components are components without that electronics would be not what it is… I quoted the diodes and transistors that perform each in their field of small quantum miracles.

canardpc_convertisseur are then more complex assemblies of diodes and transistors that have the Star: the operational amplifiers and digital analog converters .

then come built-in regulators as well as good level converters practices to make converse a Raspberry Pi (3.3V) and an Arduino (5v).

equipment for all good beginner is then addressed: screwdriver and pliers, test (breadboard) multimeter, power supply, soldering iron plate…

before attacking in the hard:

canardpc_capteur entries, how to use, what sensors plug?

canardpc_sorties outings because that say what you want, but the point is still to turn on a lamp, control a motor, trigger a radiator… and why anything yet found better than a 🙂 output

canardpc_arduino_famille overview of the Arduino family… In the Arduino family I wish… the grandfather! No Bowl is the bistro 🙂

we discover here the different cards, prices, the pinouts… as well as the main shields (the paradise of the lazy – it’s not me who says)

canardpc_raspberrypi_famille Ditto for the Raspberry Pi, presented in its various incarnations, as well as some alternative maps.

canardpc_arduino after all these presentations we move to the Act: an Arduino, a LED and go for the electronic Hello World: light a LED. Then… you can also turn it off 😉 or order it in PWM. You will see this in the following pages, as well as a tension and/or a sensor reading.

a tour by the interruptions and you are trying to connect a LCD to give the ‘word’ to your Arduino which is annoyed with its LED. And then if a screen to two lines of characters not enough, here is a screen OLED 160 × 128, what display logos, images and other curves.

finally to make your Arduino bored alone in my corner you him doterez a shield GSM or WiFi.

canardpc_sommaire canardpc_raspberrypi come on we come to us… On the Raspberry Pi you will learn how to connect a push-button to read its value (oh simple 🙂 1 or 0), to cause a LED to blink (on, off, 1, 0…), to light the LED when you press the push button (but how far will they go 😀)

canardpc_sense_hat the Hat Sense is discussed then. The same team that the two Raspberry Pi of space! With its screen colorful 64 LED, its many sensors, its joystick…

canardpc_piface talk you also about the PiFace Control and Display 2, with its display, its infrared sensor which allows to use a remote control like input device and its buttons.

even if bouncing the defenders of the law, the journal describes an FM transmitter to Raspberry Pi database. It recalls, however, the Decision ARCEP 2014 – 1263 which allows the broadcast in the FM band with a power of less than 5nW – and not as stated in the magazine (page 11/35) 5mW.

arcep_2014-1263 you will then learn how to install a RTC module before your Raspberry Pi is always on time, even when it is not connected to the Internet.

canardpc_linky

we end up with a foray into the world of home automation with the description of reading data of an electric meter, for a display of your consumption graph.

canard_pc_fb it’s not often… But I think that this number of duck PC HARDWARE has deserved a Raspberry Pi of gold. In my opinion it is a must read for a beginner and I think the FabLab should have a copy in their 🙂 library

If you have laminated it, bought, read? Feel free to leave your comments in the comments below…
