HTC Bolt: BoomSound, artificial intelligence, and imminent presentation will be

disappointing results, financial difficulties… Everything is rosy at HTC. Become constructor in the shadows for Google, we thought he could stop creating its own aircraft and see things in a different perspective, but the arrival of the HTC Bolt silenced rumors. HTC is still there and intend to come back on the market. A lot of information came to us, especially on BoomSound ( details ), artificial intelligence ( details ) and an imminent presentation ( details ).

highlight the latest changes

there’s already several days we hear about this HTC Bolt. It is also known as Acadia and probably refers to the former province of Acadia located in North America. It is unlikely that the name is French, English names are (unfortunately?) more attractive to French-speaking consumers.

HTC Bolt: screen quality

a rumour relayed by TechnoBuffalo indicates that the device will have a 5.5 inch screen and will use a 2K (20148 x 1080) definition. It would be also resistant to water and dust but rather limited since it would be the index IP57 and not the IP67 or 68 we can see today on other high-end devices.

A high-end smartphone should have at least a QHD definition.

What do you think?

HTC Bolt: sound quality

HTC is known for a long time already for its Boomsound speakers, offering above-average audio experience. Here again, this HTC Bolt, we should find this system with a helmet which, according to the source, would be 70% larger than most of these competitors and would have “BoomSound Adaptive Audio” technology that would fit in the ears.

HTC Bolt: camera

various information arrives also on the camera of this phone. At the rear we find a goal (of unknown nature) of 16 megapixels with an f/2.0 aperture. On paper, the competition is better but should not rely on these numbers because software optimization can make a difference. As with all high-end devices, we find an optical image stabilizer, feature handy but not sufficient in itself to ensure the quality of the photos.

On the front we find a goal of 8 megapixels. Will it be good? The future will tell.

HTC Bolt: software interface

this Bolt HTC use Android default Nougat. This version of Android brings a lot of new features, you will find them all in our article, very few smartphones run on this operating system, if the version of Android is an important element for you this phone then presents a certain interest. As for performance, they remain to this day still unknown…

Some rumors speak of the use of a wizard, that is to say a form of artificial intelligence that can be seen on the Pixel (Google Assistant) and that is still found on the Galaxy S8 (AI from Samsung). No evidence to confirm this rumor so take this information with a grain of salt.

HTC Bolt: autonomy

the battery capacity would apparently be 3200 mah. Of course, it all depends on the software management of the battery but it seems likely that the device happens to hold all day, or a little more. That said, this rumor also said that the unit can charge enough energy in 30 minutes to get through a day, which seems impractical.
