Google applications are often subject to important updates when! a new version of Android made its arrival. This is the case of Google Contacts that offers a whole new interface better thinking and more ergonomic.

While Android 7.0 Nougat landed on the Nexus last week, Google Contacts application has just undergone a major overhaul. Application to be found by default on Nexus and updates which are now available through the Google Play Store. In the program, a new interface, closer than ever to the web version that marks the return of the famous Hamburger menu on the left instead of the “three points” menu. A rather successful redesign that makes the whole more user friendly and ergonomic.

A new version 1.5, which also removes the tab dedicated to the favorites that are now marked with an star and adds new options. It is particularly possible to view duplicate contacts in order to then be able to merge without having to go through the web version. So many new developments that should delight all who were in the previous version of the application lacked organization.

We note also the arrival of the option to add labels directly from the Android application and the ease offered by this new version to switch to a synchronized account to another. Note that the new labeling option works the same way as the web version. A few minutes should be enough to familiarize yourself with all these innovations.

Note that, for now, this new version 1.5 is not yet deployed in the Google Play Store but you can already download through its APK . Remember to allow installation of applications from external sources in the security settings of your phone.
